"New Edge of the Anvil,"is an instructional guide for the blacksmith. It shows in drawings and describes how to set up a forge, the necessary tools, and the basic forging processes. With numerous  illustrations and photographs it is a valuable resource for the artist-blacksmith. (Presently the New Edge has sold over 80,000 copies.) "Gas Burners for Forges, Furnaces, and Kilns" is a how-to-do-it book showing how to make gas forges and related equipment. A wonderful companion to the "Edge of the Anvil."

The historical aspects of blacksmithing and the iron work of master artist-blacksmiths is show with many photographs and historical detail. These artists represent the height of iron work in both design and fabrication and serve as examples for metal-workers today. Books in this area are "Colonial Wrought Iron" and the "Golden Age of Iron work."
