Introduction

Several years ago, I noticed that the self-help sections of bookstores were expanding.  More books promised to answer the question: How can I live a better life?  I bought and read many of these, as I searched for my own answers.  In the process, it occurred to me that although members of our society spend billions of dollars on books, tapes, and seminars telling us how to improve our bodies, health, finances, jobs, and relationships, too many of us wonder why we aren't feeling fulfilled despite this information.

For years, I continued to seek knowledge, even as I became overwhelmed and worn out by the multitude of products promising me a better way to live.  Ultimately, I wondered, Is there such a thing as an information junkie?  If so, I had discovered my addiction:  The need to find answers outside of myself.

The Secret to "I AM" A true Story: Discover Courage, Truth, Purpose, and Peace in Difficult Times takes a different approach.  Instead of telling you how to live your life, I have chosen to share the intimate story of how I was finally able to live a life of courage, truth , purpose, and peace by looking inwardly and to God for answers.

My life story unfolded along with my struggle to answer the question: Who am I?  Although I began searching for my identity by looking for my biological father, my quest subsequently evolved into a profound personal and spiritual journey that taught me how to face pain and uncertainty with courage.  Over the years, the sense of connection that I've developed with and through myself, others,  and the great "I AM" God presence has offered me an extraordinary amount of peace and fulfillment.  In hindsight, it's clear to me that  the purpose of my path was to discover the Four Secrets to living with a  heart wide open to love.  Today, I lead seminars and give lectures to teach these universal principles.

Even if the specific circumstances of your life are very different from mine, the journey for all of us is a familiar one.  Everyone faces difficult times upon occasion.  We all have our own struggles to overcome, purposes to discover, and questions to answer.  As you read The Secret to "I AM", you'll see that once the secret of my parentage was revealed, that's when my real, deeper journey began.  Over many years, I progressed from self-denial, to self-awareness, to self-love, and, ultimately, to trusting in a Higher Power.  That journey continues today.

Powerful possibilities exist for all of us whenever we find the courage to embrace our unique experience, the unknown, our intuitive wisdom, and a love in something bigger than ourselves.  My hope is that my true story inspires you to manifest the glory of God within, by being all you can be in each moment of your life.
