Author Wins
Double Crown

Numismatic
Literature
for Book on the
Carson City Mint
Carson City, NV....

Rusty Goe's book recently received the Double Crown of numismatic literature.  Goe's book, The Mint on Carson Street, was awarded Book of the Year honors by both the Numismatic Literary Guild and the Professional Numismatists Guild.  These prestigious organizations are the elite in the coin collecting community.  For an author to win top honors in both is an outstanding achievement.  The PNG's Robert Friedberg Award for Book of the Year is not given every year, only when a book is deemed worthy.

Goe said he is both humbled and overwhelmed with emotion.  "My intention was to provide a brief introduction on the subject of the Carson City Mint and the many wonderful coins produced there," said Goe, "the fact that the book has won awards and received complements from readers around the country is definitely a bonus."
