Rusty Goe's book recently received the Double Crown of numismatic literature. Goe's book, The Mint on Carson Street, was awarded Book of the Year honors by both the Numismatic Literary Guild and the Professional Numismatists Guild. These prestigious organizations are the elite in the coin collecting community. For an author to win top honors in both is an outstanding achievement. The PNG's Robert Friedberg Award for Book of the Year is not given every year, only when a book is deemed worthy.

Rusty Goe has authored The Mint on Carson Street, a book about the Carson City Mint and the many fascinating coins produced there. He has also written numerous articles that have appeared in such publications as The Coin Dealer Newsletter and Curry’s Chronicle. He is the president and founder of the Carson City Coin Collectors of America and has lectured on many occasions at such venues as the Nevada State Museum and the Carson City Historical Society. He has bought and sold millions of dollars worth of rare numismatic items and has assisted in building some of the finest collections of Carson City coins of all time.
