Author Robert C. Powers played center and linebacker for the Churchland High School Trucker 1954 team. He attended the U.S. Naval Academy and commanded a Destroyer and a Destroyer Squadron. He holds a Doctorate in World Politics and a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
