Summary
Life is an ongoing, continuous experience. What we are and how we develop in later life is not fixed...good health is not an accident. It requires our active participation. Aging is inevitable, but how we age is not. We have the power to manage our aging process. It begins with discovery - getting real answers to our specific health concerns. Wellness is defined as our overall good health, and the condition sustained by healthy eating & fitness habits. Fitness is being able to deal with & handle the daily stresses of life, good physical & mental health, especially when maintained by proper diet, exercise & habits. Wellness & Fitness are totally different conditions. Successful aging consists of three components: 1.Low probability of disease or disability; 2. High cognitive & physical function capacity; 3. Active engagement with life. AGING consists of healthy foods, exercises, quotations, anecdotes, an Aging Quiz, resources & an in-print bibliography for our aging population.
