About the Authors
Trey Anderson
Sidney Vincent Anderson III (Trey) is the product of generations of honorable men and women. They have married their high school and college sweethearts and they have actually stayed married to them unto death. Trey is the first divorce that his family has suffered on either side of his family in four generations of matrimonial bliss. We thought he was a pioneer, but it turns out that Trey suffers from a recessive gene problem. It is referred to as "knight in shining armor." It is a horrible affliction and explains his hideous taste in women. His family was not aware that it carried this malady and have scientists working around the clock to identify and isolate this gene so hopefully it can be eradicated for future generations.
Even though Trey's marriages ended in disaster, he has upheld his most important requirement for the family tree. He has produced a male heir, Sidney Vincent Anderson IV. We have decided that, due to this wonderful child, Trey's fateful unions were not a complete waste of time. He retains custody of his son and resides in Casper, Wyoming. He currently attends the University of Wyoming at Casper and will be an elementary teacher when he is done (some people never learn).
Julie Collins
Trey and Julie have been best friends since the fifth grade. Unfortunately in the seventh grade Julie, who was raised under power lines, sprouted to the great height of six feet, while Trey maintained the dwarfish height of five foot two. Ever since then they have been dubbed Boris and Natasha. Their families have known and worked together for four generations, so this collaboration was inevitable.
For as unblemished as Trey's family history is, Julie comes by her divorces as a rite of passage. She is the product of one of the most dysfunctional families on the planet. Both of her parents are attractive people, who had no business having children. Julie's family has been riddled with divorce from the beginning of time, probably due to the foul disposition of the females involved. If they are related to Julie and haven't divorced, they should. She isn't real sure what a good marriage is supposed to look like, since Trey's parents, Sid and Edena Anderson, and John and Melanie Rudell are the only examples she has ever had. Sid and Edena moved to Saudi Arabia fifteen years ago, John and Melanie moved to Colorado as soon as they figured out that Julie was indeed going to be a permanent fixture in their home unless they left the state immediately.
Julie resides in Casper, Wyoming with her two teenaged children, Taylor and Paige, and her St. Bernard, Sweet Marc, whom she adores. She enjoys working on her cars, playing pool, and political debates with liberals. She is currently dating and has no plans of settling down, in fact has decided to revert to her youth as soon as the kids move out.
She is currently an independent financial adviser, which isn't sexy but it pays the bills. There's no huge job market for mermaids in Wyoming so she had to settle in the career department, but has learned the hard way that "settling" in the mate department isn't an option.
