Summary
My Organ Buddies is a book written to help young children learn about the solid organs of their bodies through the Organ Buddies characters: Oliver the Liver, Sidney the Kidney and his twin sister Sydney the Kidney, Bart the Heart, Pat the Pancreas, and Louie and Louise the Lungs. Children will learn where their solid organs are located, how the organs function, and the importance of maintaining them with proper nutrition and exercise.

About the Author
Lee Downing is a former public school and college teacher. Following a liver transplant, we founded Organ Buddies, Inc. to help other transplant recipients. He obtained his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Central Michigan University.
Felice Downing is a reading specialist for the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania school system. She has been a teacher for thirty-five years and her love for reading, teaching, and supporting transplantation awareness helped inspire the writing of this book. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Temple University.
