Summary

Struck down with a stroke (Cerebral Hemorrhage) and all but declared dead at 38 years of age, Richard (Dick) Burns regained consciousness and a life. This is the wise and witty story of his long and slow recovery and resurrection, in his own words. It is a story of hope and practical advice for victims of any serious illness and their families. It is also about what he learned from the ordeal and how his life and values changed for the better with each step he took to heal himself.

About the Author

Richard (Dick) Burns is a retired television and advertising man - the one who put the smile on the PSA airplanes and helped engineer a cultural icon, the Fruit of the Loom Guys. He is recognized nationally as an authority on retail marketing through broadcast advertising and developed the first successful system of local broadcast/telecast advertising and sales for national advertisers. He is the author of business articles and newspaper columns. A graduate of Stanford University, Class of 1952, he suffered a massive stroke at age 38 and was not expected to live. Yet, many years later, Mr. Burns resides happily in Central California where he is active in many organizations and is an avid golfer.
