About the Author
Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., after graduating from high school, entered the U.S. Marine Corps in 1943. He served in the Pacific and when World War II ended was assigned to occupation duty in Japan. Returning to civilian life, he became involved in airline flying and accumulated twenty-five thousand flight hours in thirty five years, beginning with the piston engine DC-6 to the 747Jet aircraft. He retired in 1987 and presently he and his wife reside in a retirement community in Fort Myers, Florida. |
