About the Author

Luma Masri started her own business in 2003. Initially focusing on promoting Jordan internationally. Her work with tourism projects funded by EU in the UK and Spain increased the number of visitors to Aqaba by 35%. Currently she is editor and publisher of Welcome to Jordan and Jordan ABC Book. Luma has 15 years experience in advertising and marketing, specializing in travel and tourism. She has edited one of the most successful Jordanian travel guides, "Jordan First Guidebook," for three years. Through "Jordan First," Luma has built close relations with foreign ambassadors and other influential visitors to Jordan. Jennifer Marsh has been busy in the two years she has lived in Jordan. She has written a book, Welcome to Jordan, as well as several tourism brochures for Wild Jordan. In between contributing articles to "Jordan First Guidebook" and working for various PR and writing companies, she volunteered with the National Center for Human Rights and was an editor with Health Systems Strengthening, a medical NGO. She is a freelance writer and editor with a Master's degree in English literature. She speaks Arabic and is deeply interested in the history and traditions of Jordan.
