Summary
Overturned is the sequel to Michael C. Lee's debut novel, Chandler Park Drive. Readers are re-acquainted with fictional character Denard Blake, a Detroit cop. In Overturned, Denard Blake is investigating the brutal murders of a young Detroit woman and her two small children. The murder investigation intensifies when Blake discovers that the gun that was used to kill the woman and her children was used in a number of other unsolved murders, in and around Detroit. Meanwhile, Thelmon Kirkwood is a convicted felon serving time for drug possession in a federal prison. His wife, Nichelle, is working diligently on his behalf, with the assistance of sultry defense attorney Kathy London, to get his conviction overturned. The story culminates to an explosive ending when all leads in Blake's murder investigations implicate Thelmon Kirkwood.
About the Author
Michael C. Lee is a retired Detroit Police Department Inspector. During the twenty years that Michael served the Detroit Police Department, he was commanding officer of the Gang Enforcement Section, Carjacking Task Force, a Patrol Operations Section, and Records Section. Michael has an extensive background in Narcotics investigations. Michael has served as Chair for the School of Criminal Justice, ITT Technical Institute, Troy, Michigan. He currently serves as an adjunct instructor at ITT Tech. Michael is a 1997 Graduate of the prestigious Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command. Michael earned a B.S. in Management from Cornerstone University, and an M.B.A. from Baker College. Michael resides in Detroit, Michigan with his wife and daughter.
