About the Author
William Widmer is a painter, poet, husband, father, corporate middle-manager, and gardener, and is the leader of a Western Sufi Group. Widmer's dedication to the truth began at the age of seventeen, when he had "an enlightenment experience" that dissolved his old identity and sent him skittering down a somewhat different path. The decades that followed were devoted to understanding and integrating the experience, and its aftermath.

Only one other book has been dedicated to me, a novel by James Brady. In my blurb I said it was "The Greatest Book Ever Written," which leaves me in the position of having to say of SUBTLE HEART that it is "Only The Second Greatest Book Ever Written." Sadly, that is the best I can do. It is indeed a pleasure to read, and spiritually therapeutic.
