About the Author
Mic Lowther grew up in Minnesota and worked as a computer systems analyst for 33 years in New York, Arizona, and Alaska. He has backpacked more than 4,000 miles in various parts of the US, half of which is the subject of his book, Walking North, written about his family’s through-hike of the Appalachian Trail in 1973. Mic spends his time working with his brothers in Minnesota (LowtherBrothers LLC), building cabins with friends in Colorado (Rocking Moose Mountain Ranch), and writing both fiction and non-fiction adventure stories in Alaska.
