What others are saying about Make Your Golf Dream a Reality...

I had slowly lost any interest in golf when in the mail came Make Your Golf Dream A Reality.

I glanced at the cover and thought it was another instruction book. I read it and couldn’t put it down.

When I finished, my enthusiasm and passion had come back . . . Thank you.

Tom Smothers
Celebrity Golfer
(15 handicap)

P.S. Every golfer should read it.

I have known Lou Hays and played golf with him for several years. He definitely lives by the words he writes. The ideas of “Make Your Golf Dream a Reality” have improved my short game and enabled me to win the Cherry Cup Classic two out of the past four years.

Lou writes simply and understandably. But most importantly, what he says works. You could read scores of golf instruction books (as I have) and not be helped as much as by reading this one.

I highly recommend it to any golfer who loves (and hates) the game as much as we do. — Bob Batson, scratch golfer.

I thought I had recovered completely from Golf Fever, but after reading this book, that pesky old voice is saying “I can do this!” These are some of the easiest-to-understand explanations I have seen, and the author really does create enthusiasm. — Rebecca A. Williamson, amateur golfer.

"Make Your Golf Dream a Reality” is a must read and ongoing reference.  Distance control (Chapter 7) has stuck with me over time.  Thanks Lou!” — John Della Maggiora, amateur golfer having more fun with less frustration.

Tips to improve the short game really do work and they’re simple to understand and apply. I especially like the "eight-iron putt" and using my sand wedge on something other than a bunker shot. With a little practice, I expect my game will continue to improve. — Bill Clark, a 90’s duffer, moving into the 80's.

How to Become a Real Golfer

1. Set Your Goal

Most high handicap golfers play year after year without getting any better. Some don't care - they just enjoy being outdoors and getting the exercise. Others would like to improve, but they are unwilling to make a commitment and risk failure. Still others truly desire to get into single digits, but don;t know how. Another group simply has the "I can't" sign hanging in front of their eyes.

What is your personal goal as a golfer? How long have you been stuck at your current level? Who would you like to be able to beat? Get ready for some fun. You're going to learn how to reach your golf goals with the efficient and effective methods you'll discover here.

I can tell you from personal experience that watching your handicap fall and effortlessly beating players who once seemed invisible are terrific rewards for the modest effort required to reach that point.

Decide what you want and be reasonable about it. If you are a 30-handicapper, you probably won't be at scratch in one season, but your game can be greatly improved. Pick your goal and commit to following through regardless of the roadblocks you have to overcome. A solid commitment means you're operating under the belief that you will reach your goal and you aren't quitting until you attain it. Make such a commitment and you're halfway there.
