About the Author
Leoland O. and Mary Ellen Johnson Barclay of Orlando, Florida, knew at an early age that their daughter Cynthia’s compassion and gift for helping others would be an influential part of her destiny. Cynthia, a Registered Nurse, reared her two daughters, Gennevive and Maria, as a single parent, inculcating within them the spiritual journey of walking by faith and not by sight.
Cynthia’s twenty years of experience as a Registered Nurse working with patients diagnosed with chronic kidney disease provided her the vision to initiate staff-assisted home dialysis in 1994. Her commitment and determination to provide exceptional home-based dialysis service has, without a doubt, made a difference in the lives of those coping with this disease by improving their quality of life.
As the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Quality Dialysis, Cynthia has seen the company blossom into the #1 staff-assisted home dialysis company in the State of Texas. The “Diva of Dialysis” has become one of Houston’s most respected and successful women in business, but after more than thirteen successful years in business, Cynthia believes that her company’s success revolves around the fact that she sees herself not just a business woman, but as a patient advocate, who believes that the need to be cared for with dignity and respect should never be taken lightly.
The sky is the limit for this incredibly motivated woman who is also the founder of Quality Dialysis Two, MCS Pharmacy, and Claybar Enterprises. Most recently, the title ‘author’ was added to Cynthia’s impressive list of accomplishments.
