She finds love in the unexpected arms of her family attorney who embraces her desire for adoption. Attorney Ethan Miller is almost too good to be true and shows up when Alex had decided she will focus on her child. As Alex prepares for the adoption, her business partner, Eric Harris, prepares for a summer visit from his daughter. These two events collide and threaten to cause Alex and Eric to lose their children. During the baby shower for Alexandra, the horrible news arrives that the adoption has been halted. Alex had loved and lost before she even had a chance at loving her child.
No Men Need Apply is about the love and heartbreak that occurs along the way to finding true love and happiness. It’s also about one woman’s belief that with each new day comes another chance for love and joy.

Lovell Brigham’s debut novel No Men Need Apply addresses the societal issues related to increasing adoption awareness and the relationship struggles of single females from an inspirational perspective. No Men Need Apply provides a positive alternative to women who desire to have a child but find themselves without a husband. Her writing exemplifies a woman confident in her faith and herself. Lovell’s career as a journalist took her to the Golden Triangle of Texas, where she began as a reporter with KJAC-TV. She went on to become the weekend anchor, and later hosted the area’s first half-hour morning news program. Having minored in political science, she later received a political appointment from former President Bill Clinton, where she served as communications director to former U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Donna E. Shalala. Lovell went on to become a vice president for one of the nation’s top public relations agencies and a major healthcare organization. She is a graduate of Texas Christian University and holds a degree in broadcast journalism. Lovell is a native of Tyler, Texas, and resides in the Dallas area.
