About Dr. Michael Hunter
Education: Harvard BA, Yale MD, UPenn residency
Service: Dr. Hunter is a partner in radiation oncology at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, serves as medical director of the cancer program and as a radiation oncologist at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center in Kirkland, WA. He is also the medical director of the radiation therapy program at Bellevue (WA) Community College.
Helping: In addition to the practice of medicine, Dr. Hunter has served in an advisory capacity with the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and as an advisor to the Washington State Breast and Cervical Health Project. He is the author of The Little Book of Breast Cancer: A Self-Teaching Guide.
Honors: Dr. Hunter was the recipient of an American Cancer Society Fellowship and has been named as a top doctor for breast cancer by Seattle Magazine
Outside Interests: Dr. Hunter loves classical music and playing the piano, has a black belt in Shito-ryu karate, is a voracious reader, and enjoys modern art and photography. In his home are spoken English, Japanese, and French, and he enjoys family time and international travel.
