Summary
This book has been written for private investors who do not have the time to research companies in whom they have invested or about to invest in shares quoted on the London and European Stock Exchanges. Annual Reports and Press Releases are not always clear. The reader is blinded with accountancy jargon and rules rather than giving the reader a clear picture of the economic realities of a company. The book does not criticize any organization.
The author, an accountant by training, is not concerned whether certain accounting rules have been applied correctly but believes in the clarity of information with regard to the financial health of a company and the potential effect on the share price.

About the Author
Kenneth Dorga, FCMA is the Managing Partner of The Amerac Consultancy, a M&A consulting firm based in Switzerland. The firm carries out assignment in most European countries. He qualified as an accountant in the UK and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. A career of forty years in industry as a financial executive in the finance function and in mergers and acquisitions.
He has had an international career in the accountancy and finance areas of management having held senior financial management positions in Letraset, Sun Chemical, Gulf & Western (US conglomerate), Pepe Group (quoted on former USM0 and Serono (Swiss pharmaceuticals). His extensive experience in Financial Reporting for quoted companies and recently in the analysis of company accounts for specific clients when he founded Independent Company Research with a colleague Jean-Marc Levrat who has extensive experience in industry - www.dlcr.ch. He has presented the theme of Unraveling Fuzzy Financial Reporting at two day seminars sponsored by organizers of courses on financial topics in Europe and on How to Acquire Companies Successfully. He wrote an article on the folly of over paying for acquisitation which appeared in the May 2005 issue of Financial Management in the UK. He founded Amerac Publishing in December 2004. He is a British citizen, married and lives in Switzerland.
