The 1914 Sarajevo assassinations were the first acts of modern terrorism. Out of them developed the First World War, Russian Revolution, inception of today's Israel and greater Middle East with all its torment.
Allan M. Loosigian is a lifelong history buff. He attended Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts and graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, which may in part explain his abiding interest in the First World War and its aftermath.
Mr. Loosigian was also a Fulbright Scholar in economics at Universität Münster in North Rhine-Westphalia and, unhistorically, taught finance and investment at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
He presently resides and continues to write in Munich and in Stonington, Connecticut.
