ClearPoint Press was created in 1992 to publish texts on Tibetan Buddhism.
The publications provide Westerners with an introduction to the Wisdom and teachings of authentic masters and with means to continue on the path of awakening.
The Authors
Bokar Rinpoche was born to a nomadic family in Western Tibet in 1940. Recognized as a reincarnation by the Sixteenth Karmapa, he studies at Bokar and Tsurphu Monasteries. He left Tibet at twenty and completed his two three-year retreats under the guidance of Kalu Rinpoche. A most remarkable Kagyu meditation master, he teaches Vajrayana practice in Buddhist centers throughout the world. His radiant peace of mind, ineffable love and the refinement of his intelligence are the signs of his great accomplishment.
Kalu Rinpoche, a lama of the Kagyu Shangpa lineage, was born in Eastern Tibet in 1904. He studied and practiced with so many great beings of all traditions before living in solitary retreat for 12 years. One of the first Tibetan masters to teach in the West. he passed away in 1989.
