Summary

The Southern Advantage: Why You Should Consider Doing Business in the World's Fourth-Largest Economy

In the span of about a half century, the South has transformed itself from "a slow-paced agrarian-focused marketplace" into a key player of both the US and World economies.

Growth in the region has been and continues to be phenomenal. For example, the South's population has nearly doubled in the last 30 years. The southern states; stretching from Texas to Maryland, are now home to 30 million MORE residents than the Northeast. Today, in terms of corporate growth, the South is the only region that has shown a positive net migration in the early 21st Century.

This book tells Dixie's amazing story of progression, from poverty to prosperity, presenting sound logic as to why you should consider moving your business and your family to the South.

"My personal experience over the past fifty-plus years has instilled within me a passion for helping people discover just how much this region has to offer them," says Mr. Hollingsworth. "Not only have I evaluated the statistical data and the research to explain the benefits of living and working in the South, I have lived the lessons, reaped the rewards, and now wish to pass this experience on to others."

"Whether you are a corporate leader in search of the most profitable business location or you are an individual in search of the best place for living and working, I truly believe you should not overlook the Southern Advantage."
