Building Good Relationships by Garrett Roark

Building Good Relationships discusses philosophical concepts and practical ideas for relating. This book grew from a seminar called Tools for Positive Relationship. The author has used this seminar to see marriages repaired, restored, and maintained. Other relationships such as parental, friendships, and workplace have also been repaired and maintained by the use of these concepts and ideas. Although from a Biblical prospective, this book is written without references in order that it can be more readable. It does however, have a complete bibliography at the back of the book. The first part of the book deals with the concepts and principles that produce relational success. The last part of the book deals with tools we can practically apply within these concepts and ideas. Lots of examples and personal experiences make it quite readable.

Garrett Roark pastors a small church in the Front Range city of Fort Collins, Colorado. He lives near the border in southern Wyoming, with his wife, and 2 daughters. He enjoys horse-backing in the mountains, music and friends. His 18 year ministry has produced an insightful understanding of good relational practices, and how to apply them. "Building Good Relationship" is a product of a relationship seminar, "Tools for Positive Relationships", that he developed and uses to repair and maintain quality relationships.
