Established in 1965 by Selwyn Hughes, a young miner called into full-time ministry, CWR is a UK-based Christian book publisher with more than 400 active titles and 50 new titles published each year. CWR’s titles span across categories including Bibles, Bible-reading and study aids, devotionals, Christian living, pastoral care and counseling, prayer, and more—and offer something for children through adults, men and women—all with the common thread of encouraging spiritual growth, personal transformation, and life-long learning.
In addition to their Christian publishing program, CWR provides counseling based on a biblical understanding of how people function. This counseling model, developed by founder Selwyn Hughes, is now taught in a variety of formats – from one-day seminars to fully-accredited undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. CWR’s partnership with Bookmasters made their titles available for the first time in the United States effective September 1, 2017.
“We’re humbled to be able to help CWR launch their exceptional list of Christian titles into the U.S. market,” said Randy McKenzie, Christian division sales manager at Bookmasters. “I believe their children’s books and counseling resources will be particularly well-received, and overall, CWR’s list strengthens the collective offering from our Christian publisher clients in a way that continues to position Bookmasters as a leader in Christian sales and distribution in North America."
“The team at CWR is delighted to be embarking on this exciting new relationship with Bookmasters,” said Lynette Brooks, director of publishing and ministry at CWR. “We share a mutual love of God’s Word and making it accessible and understood for all ages. We are grateful to God and all at Bookmasters for opening this new door for our ministry to reach and impact lives in the U.S.”
“We look forward to working closely with the team at Bookmasters to help launch and establish CWR’s published resources in bookstores and churches across the USA, helping us expand CWR’s ministry,” said David Ramsay, director of sales at CWR.
