"Communication is an exchange of thoughts, words, feelings and emotions between people, The way we communicate with others and how others communicate with us can cause positive and negative feelings." Gerald Baldner has always set goals for himself. After being very blessed with a wonderful family life and many successful businesses, he decided to set yet another goal ... that goal, to write a book. After much thought, he decided to write about what he knew best, communication. As a former family and marriage councilor as well as CEO of his won company, he knows how important communication is to a successful and happy life. Gerald began his research by interviewing twenty people about how they communicate. He asked each person the same series of questions about how they communicate in their careers and with their family and friends. He was surprised at how how people were just being asked. "Most people don't think about how they communicate until they are asked," Gerald says.
It covers communication on the job, communicating with a spouse and children, and also offers a brief look at forms of communication beyond the spoken word, including written word and the sense of touch. The book is written in such a way that the reader can pick and choose to what chapter to read depending on what is going on in their life at the time. Gerald is now CEO of Kitchen Solvers, a company with 130 locations in the United States and Canada. An avid boater, he would like to retire and travel down the Mississippi River and to the Great Lakes.

–Martin J. Grunder, Jr. . . . . . . . "Baldner has handled a difficult subject effectively by sharing his very personal communications experience and techniques in an easy-to-read style. Forget about the theory-this is down-to-earth sharing (not prescribing) of ideas that the author has found useful in his very successful life in business, family, church, and community. Guaranteed you will find some ways to bolster your communication skills." –Lindy Saline . . . . . . . "Gerald Baldner has written a helpful and delightful book...filled with the expertise of a counselor and the common sense of a life-long learner. From humble beginnings on an Iowa farm to now leading a highly-successful business, he has communicated well with all kinds of people. What I especially like about the book is the personal and good-humored style along with his sharing of deeply held values and faith. Having known Gerald for almost 20 years, I know what he says is true: He lives what he writes in this book. Anyone who wants to improve their communications at home, in business, with God, or in any kind of social situation, is bound to be helped by his work." –Rev. Vernon Rice . . . . . . . | |
